Menno Simons

Menno Simons (c. 1496–1561) was a Dutch Anabaptist religious leader whose writings and pastoral work helped unite and shape the Mennonite movement.

Anabaptism: A sixteenth-century Christian movement advocating believer’s baptism and a church distinct from state authority. Simons became one of the movement’s most influential leaders after embracing its rejection of infant baptism.
