Meriwether Lewis

Meriwether Lewis was an American army officer and explorer who co-led the Lewis and Clark Expedition from 1804 to 1806 and later served as governor of Louisiana Territory.

William Clark: An American army officer, explorer, and mapmaker who co-led the Lewis and Clark Expedition with Meriwether Lewis. Clark shared command of the expedition and became Lewis’s closest collaborator.
