Merv Griffin

Merv Griffin (1925–2007) was an American television host, producer, and media entrepreneur who created the game shows Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune.

Jeopardy!: An American quiz show in which contestants respond to clues in the form of questions. Griffin created the show, which debuted in 1964 and became his most celebrated format.
