Middle Assyrian Empire

The Middle Assyrian Empire was an Assyrian state centered on Aššur that became a major regional power during the Late Bronze Age.

Aššur: The ancient city and chief cult center of the Assyrian state, dedicated to the god Aššur. The empire’s political and religious center gave its kingship a distinctive sacred foundation.
