Mihira Bhoja

Mihira Bhoja was a ninth-century ruler of the Gurjara-Pratihara dynasty whose reign strengthened its power across northern India. He is also associated with the title Adivaraha.

Gurjara-Pratihara dynasty: A major early medieval Indian dynasty that ruled much of northern India from the eighth to the eleventh centuries. Bhoja’s authority and expansion rested on this dynasty’s political and military foundations.

Pala Empire: A dynasty that ruled much of Bengal and Bihar and became a major rival of the Gurjara-Pratiharas. Pala power made eastern India a competing sphere in the struggle for Kannauj.
