Miyamoto Musashi

Miyamoto Musashi was a Japanese swordsman, strategist, and writer of the early Edo period. He is renowned for his duels and the treatise The Book of Five Rings.

Yagyū Munenori: A Japanese swordsman and strategist who served the Tokugawa shogunate and wrote the sword treatise Heiho Kadensho. Munenori represents a courtly, officially sanctioned path to influence unlike Musashi’s wandering image.
