Mohammad Hatta

Mohammad Hatta (1902–1980) was an Indonesian independence leader who became the country’s first vice president and served as prime minister. He helped proclaim independence with Sukarno in 1945 and shaped Indonesia’s early political and economic institutions.

Sukarno: Sukarno was an Indonesian nationalist leader and the country’s first president. Hatta and Sukarno jointly proclaimed Indonesian independence and led the new republic.
