Mohammed Abdullah Hassan

Mohammed Abdullah Hassan was a Somali Islamic scholar, poet, and military leader who led an armed movement against British, Italian, and Ethiopian expansion in the Horn of Africa.

Somali Dervish movement: An armed Somali movement led by Mohammed Abdullah Hassan against British, Italian, and Ethiopian rule. This movement was the political and military force he built around his leadership.
