Monoplane

A fixed-wing aircraft with one main wing plane. Its single wing plane contrasts with the stacked or multiple wing planes of biplanes and other multiplanes.

Fixed-wing aircraft: An aircraft that generates lift primarily through wings that remain fixed relative to its fuselage. Monoplanes belong to this broad aircraft family.
