Monster truck

A heavily modified truck with oversized tires and suspension, built to crush obstacles, race, and perform stunts. Its high ground clearance and reinforced structure distinguish it from ordinary pickup trucks.

Monster truck tire: An exceptionally large, lightweight tire designed to provide traction and absorb impacts on monster trucks. Its size and flexibility let the truck climb over cars and cushion landings.
Bigfoot (truck): A monster truck created by Bob Chandler, widely credited as the first vehicle to gain that name. Bigfoot’s oversized tires and public demonstrations helped define the monster-truck idea.

Monster truck replica: A road vehicle modified or styled to resemble a monster truck without being a competition machine. Replicas may share the look but lack the specialized chassis and equipment of full-size trucks.
Four-wheel drive: A drivetrain that can deliver engine power to all four wheels. Power to both axles helps monster trucks keep moving across loose dirt and uneven obstacles.
United States Hot Rod Association: An American motorsports organization that has promoted monster-truck events and competitions. Its events helped turn monster trucks from local exhibitions into a touring sport.
