Montenegro

Montenegro is a country in southeastern Europe on the Adriatic Sea, bordered by Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Kosovo, and Albania. Its rugged interior rises from a narrow coastal plain into the Dinaric Alps.

Duklja: A medieval South Slavic principality centered in what is now Montenegro and parts of neighboring regions. Duklja was an early predecessor of Montenegrin political identity and statehood.
