Mount Jiuhua

Mount Jiuhua is a mountain in Anhui, China, revered as one of the four sacred mountains of Chinese Buddhism and associated with the bodhisattva Kṣitigarbha.

Kṣitigarbha: A bodhisattva associated with vows to aid beings in hell realms and, in East Asia, with the dead. Mount Jiuhua is especially revered as the earthly abode of this bodhisattva.
