Muhammad al-Baqir

Muhammad al-Baqir was the fifth Imam in Twelver and Ismaili Shiism and a seventh-century descendant of Muhammad. Revered as a religious authority, he is associated with the early development of Shiite jurisprudence and teaching.

Ali ibn Husayn Zayn al-Abidin: The fourth Imam in Twelver and Ismaili Shiism and the father of Muhammad al-Baqir. His father transmitted the Imamate to al-Baqir.
