Knowra Nachmanides Nachmanides Nachmanides (Moses ben Nahman, or Ramban) was a 13th-century Catalan rabbi, biblical commentator, philosopher, and physician. His biblical commentary combined close reading with rabbinic tradition, philosophical argument, and mystical interpretation.
