Namche Bazaar
Namche Bazaar is a Sherpa town in Nepal’s Khumbu region and a major trading, trekking, and acclimatization hub on routes to Mount Everest.
Everest Base Camp Trek: A high-altitude trekking route through Nepal’s Khumbu region to the southern base camp of Mount Everest. Namche is a major overnight stop and acclimatization point on the route.
Acclimatization: The physiological adjustment that helps the body function at high altitude, especially through changes in breathing and blood chemistry. Trekkers commonly spend time in Namche to adjust before climbing higher.
