Nathan Hale

Nathan Hale was a Continental Army officer who gathered intelligence behind British lines in 1776 and was captured and executed in New York City.

American Revolutionary War: The war from 1775 to 1783 in which the Thirteen Colonies won independence from Great Britain. The conflict created the military setting for Hale’s service and execution.
