National Book Award

The National Book Award is an annual American literary prize recognizing outstanding books published in the United States. It is presented by the National Book Foundation.

National Book Foundation: The nonprofit organization that presents the National Book Awards and promotes literature in the United States. It administers the awards and sets their categories and rules.
American Book Awards: A set of literary prizes established in 1978 as an alternative to the National Book Awards. They briefly replaced the awards before the National Book Foundation restored them.
