N'Djamena

N'Djamena is Chad’s capital and largest city, situated where the Chari and Logone rivers meet near the Cameroon border.

Fort-Lamy: Fort-Lamy was the colonial name of N'Djamena, used from its founding in 1900 until 1973. The city began as Fort-Lamy under French colonial rule.
