New Territories

The large northern part of Hong Kong, leased by China to Britain in 1898 and returned to China with Hong Kong in 1997.

Convention for the Extension of Hong Kong Territory: The 1898 agreement by which China leased the New Territories to Britain for 99 years. This agreement established British administration over the New Territories.
