Nick Park

Nick Park is an English animator, director, and screenwriter best known for creating Wallace and Gromit and co-creating Shaun the Sheep.

Wallace and Gromit: A British stop-motion comedy series about an eccentric inventor and his intelligent dog. Park created this series, whose characters and comic world define much of his work.
A Grand Day Out: A 1989 animated short introducing Wallace and Gromit on a trip to the moon. Park made this student film as the first Wallace and Gromit adventure.
Peter Sallis: An English actor who voiced Wallace in the original Wallace and Gromit films. His warm, distinctive performance gave Wallace a recognizable voice and comic personality.
The Wrong Trousers: A 1993 Wallace and Gromit short about a pair of mechanical trousers and a criminal penguin. Park’s second Wallace and Gromit film won the Academy Award for Animated Short Film.
Shaun the Sheep: A British stop-motion comedy series about a resourceful sheep and his flock. Park co-created this dialogue-light series, extending Aardman’s comic world beyond Wallace and Gromit.
The Amazing Adventures of Morph: A British television series featuring Morph, a small clay character created by Peter Lord. Working on the series at Aardman gave Park early experience with clay animation.
Richard Goleszowski: A British animator and director who created the original Creature Comforts short. Goleszowski directed the short that Park wrote and animated with Aardman colleagues.
A Close Shave: A 1995 Wallace and Gromit short involving a wool shop, a sheep, and a sinister plot. This short won Park another Academy Award and introduced Shaun.
Creature Comforts: An animated series and film format pairing animal animation with recordings of people discussing everyday life. Park’s Oscar-winning short established his skill at combining modeled animals with recorded speech.
National Film and Television School: A British postgraduate film school based in Beaconsfield, England. Park studied animation there and developed the early version of A Grand Day Out.
