Nimr al-Nimr

Nimr Baqir al-Nimr was a Saudi Shia cleric and activist whose criticism of the Saudi government made him a prominent figure in protests in the kingdom’s Eastern Province. Saudi Arabia executed him in 2016 after convicting him of terrorism-related offenses.
