Nogai Horde

The Nogai Horde was a confederation of nomadic Turkic groups that occupied the Pontic-Caspian steppe after the Golden Horde fragmented. Its power rested on mobile pastoralism, dynastic leadership, and control of steppe routes.

Golden Horde: A Mongol successor state that ruled much of Eurasia from the thirteenth to the fifteenth century. The Nogai Horde emerged from the political fragmentation of this larger state.
