Northrop Grumman is an American aerospace and defense company that develops and manufactures aircraft, spacecraft, electronics, and military systems.
B-21 Raider: A Northrop Grumman-developed stealth bomber designed for the United States Air Force. It is the company’s major next-generation combat aircraft program.
Northrop Corporation: An American aircraft manufacturer founded by Jack Northrop in 1939 and acquired by Grumman in 1994. It is the principal predecessor whose name and aircraft business continued in the merged company.
Lunar module: The Apollo spacecraft that carried astronauts between lunar orbit and the Moon’s surface. Grumman designed and built this landmark crewed spacecraft.
Lockheed Martin: An American aerospace and defense company that develops aircraft, spacecraft, missiles, and security systems. It competes with Northrop Grumman for major aircraft, space, and defense contracts.
B-2 Spirit: A long-range stealth bomber developed by Northrop for the United States Air Force. This aircraft established Northrop’s signature role in stealth bomber design.
