Notopteridae

Notopteridae is a family of freshwater ray-finned fishes native to Africa and South and Southeast Asia. Its members, called featherbacks or knifefishes, have elongated bodies and an undulating anal fin used for swimming.

Osteoglossiformes: An order of mostly freshwater ray-finned fishes that includes bonytongues and featherbacks. Notopteridae is one of the order's distinctive fish families.
