Notosuchia

Notosuchia is an extinct group of crocodyliforms, mostly terrestrial, that lived chiefly in Gondwana during the Cretaceous. Its members included forms with unusually varied diets and skull shapes.

Crocodyliformes: Crocodyliformes is the group containing living crocodilians and their extinct relatives. Notosuchia is one branch within this larger group.
Notosuchus: Notosuchus is a small-bodied Cretaceous notosuchian known from South America. This genus gives the group its name and is among its early recognized members.
