Novokuznetsk

Novokuznetsk is a city in southwestern Siberia, Russia, on the Tom River. It is a major center of coal mining and metallurgy in the Kuzbass.

Kuznetsk Fortress: A seventeenth-century Russian fort on the Tom River, now preserved within Novokuznetsk. The fort founded in 1618 marks the settlement’s earliest chapter.
