Nuclear testing in the Pacific

Nuclear weapons tests conducted by the United States, United Kingdom, and France at Pacific sites during the twentieth century, with lasting effects on people and environments.

Bikini Atoll: An atoll in the Marshall Islands used by the United States for 23 nuclear tests from 1946 to 1958. Its 1946 tests began the postwar Pacific program and displaced Bikini's residents.
Marshallese nuclear displacement: The forced relocation of Marshallese communities from islands affected by United States nuclear testing. Testing made several communities unable to return safely to their ancestral homes.
