Nuremberg executions

The hanging of ten Nazi leaders convicted by the International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg, carried out on 16 October 1946. Martin Bormann, convicted in absentia, was not among those executed.

International Military Tribunal: The court established by the Allied powers to prosecute leading German officials after World War II. It imposed the death sentences carried out in the Nuremberg executions.
