Knowra Nuri al-Said Nuri al-Said Nuri al-Said was an Iraqi politician and military officer who served repeatedly as prime minister from 1930 to 1958. He was a leading advocate of close ties with Britain and the Hashemite monarchy.
Faisal I of Iraq : Faisal I was the first king of Iraq, reigning from 1921 until his death in 1933. Al-Said helped establish Faisal's government and served as a senior figure in his monarchy.
