Octavia Spencer

Octavia Spencer is an American actor and producer whose performance in The Help earned her the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.

The Help: A 2011 drama film about Black maids working in 1960s Mississippi, adapted from Kathryn Stockett’s novel. Spencer won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for playing Minny Jackson.
