Oedipus

In Greek mythology, Oedipus is the king of Thebes who unknowingly kills his father, Laius, and marries his mother, Jocasta. His discovery of these acts brings ruin to his family and city.

Oracle of Delphi: A sanctuary of Apollo at Delphi, renowned in ancient Greece for its oracles. Its prophecy sets the events that Oedipus and his parents try to escape in motion.
