Oleg Penkovsky

Oleg Penkovsky was a Soviet military intelligence colonel who secretly supplied Britain and the United States with information during the Cold War, including the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Cuban Missile Crisis: A 1962 confrontation between the United States and the Soviet Union over Soviet nuclear missiles in Cuba. Penkovsky’s reports helped Western governments assess Soviet capabilities and intentions during the crisis.
