Online disinhibition effect

The tendency for people to express themselves more openly or aggressively online than they would in face-to-face settings. It can produce both prosocial disclosure and hostile behavior.

Anonymity: A condition in which a person’s identity is unknown or difficult to connect to an action. Pseudonymous interaction can reduce the perceived personal cost of expressing thoughts online.
