Opera house

An opera house is a theater designed or used primarily for staging opera, typically combining a stage, orchestra pit, and auditorium.

Proscenium: An architectural frame separating a stage from the auditorium, often defining the audience’s view. It frames the stage and shapes sightlines in many opera houses.
Opera: A staged drama in which singing is central to the performance. Opera is the art form that gives the building its primary purpose.
