Ostrogothic Kingdom

The Ostrogothic Kingdom was a Germanic-led state in Italy founded by Theodoric the Great in 493 and conquered by the Byzantine Empire after the Gothic War.

Theodoric the Great: The Ostrogothic ruler who conquered Italy in 493 and governed until 526. His conquest and kingship established the kingdom and shaped its political settlement.
Odoacer: A Germanic military leader who ruled Italy from 476 until Theodoric overthrew him. His regime was the immediate predecessor the Ostrogoths displaced.
Amalasuntha: The Ostrogothic queen and regent who governed for her young son Athalaric. Her efforts to preserve Roman-style rule became entangled in succession politics.
