Ostrogoths

The Ostrogoths were an East Germanic people who established a kingdom in Italy under Theodoric the Great in the late fifth century.

Goths: A group of East Germanic peoples who shaped late Roman and early medieval history. The Ostrogoths were one of the major Gothic peoples.
Theodoric the Great: The Ostrogothic king who ruled Italy from 493 to 526 and maintained Roman institutions. He founded and governed the Ostrogothic kingdom in Italy.
