Owen D. Young

Owen D. Young was an American industrialist and diplomat who chaired General Electric and led the 1929 committee that proposed a restructuring of German reparations.

Charles G. Dawes: An American banker and politician who chaired the committee that devised the 1924 Dawes Plan for German reparations. He preceded Young in leading an international committee on German reparations.
Young Plan: The 1929 agreement that reorganized German reparations payments after World War I. Young chaired the committee whose proposal became this reparations settlement.
