Ōyama Iwao

Ōyama Iwao was a Japanese field marshal and statesman who held senior commands in the First Sino-Japanese War and Russo-Japanese War.

Yamagata Aritomo: A Japanese general and statesman who helped shape the modern army and served as prime minister. A fellow Chōshū leader, he was a central figure in the military establishment alongside Ōyama.
