Pacific salmon

Pacific salmon are salmon species native to the North Pacific that migrate between ocean and freshwater habitats, typically returning to rivers to spawn.

Anadromy: A life history in which fish grow mainly at sea and return to freshwater to reproduce. Pacific salmon exemplify this migration between marine feeding grounds and freshwater spawning sites.
