Pantyhose

Pantyhose are close-fitting garments combining briefs and two leg coverings, usually made from sheer knitted yarn and worn under skirts or dresses.

Tights: Tights are close-fitting leg garments, typically thicker and more opaque than sheer hosiery. The distinction commonly rests on fabric opacity, though usage varies by region and retailer.
DuPont: DuPont is an American chemical and materials company founded in 1802. Its researchers developed nylon, which transformed the manufacture of sheer hosiery.
Leggings: Leggings are close-fitting leg coverings, usually made from opaque stretch fabric. Their thicker, more opaque material separates them from conventional sheer pantyhose.
Elastane: Elastane is a synthetic fiber capable of substantial, reversible stretching. Its stretch lets pantyhose conform closely to legs and recover their shape.
Hold-ups: Hold-ups are stockings with an elasticized upper band designed to stay up without a garter belt. They cover the legs like pantyhose but do not connect to a brief.
