Pascual Jordan

Pascual Jordan (1902–1980) was a German theoretical physicist who helped formulate matrix mechanics, co-founded quantum field theory, and introduced the algebras that bear his name.

Matrix mechanics: The first complete formulation of quantum mechanics, developed by Werner Heisenberg, Max Born, and Pascual Jordan in 1925. Jordan helped develop its algebraic formulation with Born and Heisenberg.
