Peregrine falcon

The peregrine falcon is a widespread bird of prey that catches flying animals in high-speed dives called stoops. It occurs on every continent except Antarctica.

Peregrine falcon stoop: A steep, high-speed hunting dive in which a peregrine falcon strikes prey in flight. The stoop is the falcon’s signature way of intercepting airborne prey.
