Persian Constitutional Revolution

The Persian Constitutional Revolution was a movement in Qajar Iran from 1905 to 1911 that challenged royal authority and established a constitution and elected parliament, the Majles.

Tobacco Protest: A nationwide Iranian protest in 1891–1892 that forced the shah to cancel a tobacco concession to a British company. It established a model of merchant and clerical mobilization before the constitutional movement.
