Peter Weir

Peter Weir is an Australian film director whose 1981 film Gallipoli follows two young soldiers through the Gallipoli campaign.

Picnic at Hanging Rock: A 1975 Australian film about the mysterious disappearance of schoolgirls during an excursion to Hanging Rock. Its dreamlike uncertainty established Weir’s international reputation before Gallipoli.
