PGA Championship

The PGA Championship is an annual men’s professional golf tournament organized by the Professional Golfers’ Association of America. It is one of golf’s four major championships.

Jack Nicklaus: American golfer Jack Nicklaus won a record 18 men’s major championships. His five PGA Championship victories are the tournament record.
Stroke play: A golf competition format in which each player’s total strokes determine the result. The championship switched from match play to stroke play in 1958.
Professional Golfers’ Association of America: The organization representing golf professionals in the United States. The PGA of America founded and organizes the championship.
