The PGA Tour is the organization that operates the leading men’s professional golf tour in the United States, sanctioning tournaments and managing competition for its members.

FedEx Cup: The PGA Tour’s season-long points competition, which determines a champion through a series of playoff events. It gives the Tour’s regular season and playoffs a unified championship structure.
PGA of America: A professional organization of golf instructors and club professionals, founded in 1916. The Tour began as part of the PGA of America before separating in 1968.
Jay Monahan: An American sports executive who became PGA Tour commissioner in 2017. He has led the Tour through major disputes over competition and its future structure.
LIV Golf: A professional golf league launched in 2022, known for team events and funding from Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. Its recruitment of players and competing events challenged the Tour’s dominance.
