Pinnate leaf

A compound leaf with leaflets arranged in pairs along both sides of a central axis, or rachis. Its leaflets share one leaf stalk rather than attaching independently to the stem.

Compound leaf: A leaf divided into distinct leaflets attached to a shared leaf stalk or axis. Pinnate leaves are one arrangement of leaflets within this broader leaf form.
