Plan Dalet

Plan Dalet was a Haganah operational plan adopted in March 1948 to secure Jewish-held territory and routes amid the collapse of British rule and the 1948 war.

Haganah: The principal Jewish military organization in Mandatory Palestine before Israel’s establishment. It issued and implemented Plan Dalet through its regional forces.
United Nations Partition Plan for Palestine: The 1947 United Nations proposal to divide Mandatory Palestine into Arab and Jewish states, with an internationalized Jerusalem. The plan followed partition’s approval and addressed the territory and routes at stake.
