Pope Linus

Pope Linus was a first-century bishop of Rome traditionally regarded as the second pope, succeeding Peter and preceding Anacletus.

Peter the Apostle: A leading apostle of Jesus who, according to Christian tradition, became the first bishop of Rome. Linus’s traditional position as Rome’s second bishop makes Peter his immediate predecessor.
Paul the Apostle: An early Christian missionary and author of letters that became part of the New Testament. Later tradition associates Linus with Paul’s circle, though the evidence is limited.
