Prayut Chan-o-cha

Prayut Chan-o-cha is a Thai politician and retired army general who served as prime minister from 2014 to 2023 after leading the 2014 coup.

2014 Thai coup d'état: The military seizure of power that removed Thailand’s caretaker government on 22 May 2014. Prayut, then army chief, led the coup that brought him to power.
